Oceans
If you've never seen a sea dragon, you're in for a treat. This week our marine explorers are in the waters of the Southern Ocean, where they find one wafting around among the giant kelp. It's a creature that looks like a seahorse's more eccentric cousin, perhaps designed by Dr Seuss after a plate of magic mushrooms. It's worth watching the whole programme just for the sea dragon. Wonderful marine life is the overriding reason to watch this series: the trouble is, it only makes up a fraction of the screen time. The rest of the time, we're cruising around in boats as the team fl it from here to there or talk about how dangerous the dive they're about to do is. Yes, yes - now get on with it. Or don't. But either way, please stop making a programme about how hard your programme was to make. Luckily there are other wonders well worth persevering for: the magnificently weird sea pens, an ancient-looking Maori octopus and a playful colony of fur seals. RT reviewer - David Butcher
